Brief Description

Participate in a unique transnational MA and PhD program in which you will get degrees from two famous African and European institutions. Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa University and Germany’s Leipzig University collaborate to offer a two-year MA degree and a three-year PhD program with Africa at its core. 

Immerse yourself in an interdisciplinary and multicultural atmosphere that will provide you with the information and skills necessary to succeed on the global job market. The curriculum takes place in Addis Ababa, Africa’s political capital, and includes a planned semester at Leipzig University, a globalization and area studies research center of excellence.
